Who Am I?
|
My name is Rebecca J. Thompson. I am an Instruction & Reference Librarian at King's College, PA with a background in English Literature. I did my English Master's thesis on L.M. Montgomery's Emily trilogy, revised that for a presentation at the 2016 L.M. Montgomery Institute conference on Montgomery & Gender, and then revised that into a book chapter in the monograph Montgomery & Gender edited by Laura M. Robinson & E. Holly Pike. I also presented on Green Gables Fables at the 2018 conference on Montgomery & Reading, on the use of windows in Montgomery's work in the digital Montgomery and Vision Forum that replaced the canceled 2020 conference, and on modern adaptations including Green Gables Fables, Project Green Gables, Anne of Manhattan, Ana of California, and Anne of West Philly at the 2022 conference on Montgomery & Re-Vision.
I am a lifelong Montgomery devotee, a lover of literature and research, and a Fabler. I regularly post on the #LMMontgomeryMonday hashtag on Instagram, started by Trinna S. Frever. |
